Joseph is dedicated to maximizing the body’s capabilities of injury recovery, enabling his patients to return to sport, work, and daily activity quickly and safely. His passion for human function and performance is contagious and empowers his patients to strive towards new heights.
Joseph’s passions for performance and health developed out of a sports-centred upbringing in North Toronto. He’s competed in hockey, soccer, baseball, golf and distance running. His training taught him the valuable lesson that athletic performance is heavily impacted by how well you prepare yourself. It is this knowledge that pushes him to constantly seek out new opportunities to provide even better care for his patients.
Joseph completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from York University. This background has given him specialized skills in biomechanics, management of sports injuries, and functional anatomy. He went on to receive his Master of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto. In addition, he has completed courses in advanced manual therapy, myofascial release, and lumbopelvic manipulation.
Joseph uses contemporary acupuncture to generate quick and lasting changes in patient function and recovery. He combines acupuncture with a variety of manual therapy techniques and corrective exercises, Joseph has also developed an expertise in aerobic and strength conditioning, allowing him to support his patients both as they recover from injury and as they strive towards peak performance.

Joseph demonstrates that the most effective treatment requires a strong understanding of all of the contributing factors to an injury. He enjoys the challenge of breaking down each individual’s movement patterns to identify important treatment targets. This often leads him to areas distant from the local symptoms, which, when addressed using his integrated approach, leads to significant functional improvement.
Joseph pushes the boundaries of his own fitness through a rigorous strength and conditioning routine, giving him more evidence of the effects that healthy eating and exercise can have on the body. He also continues to play hockey with his brothers, and he enjoys sport fishing and searching out the many trophy fish that the Lakes of Ontario hold.
