David was first introduced to the world of health and fitness in high school. Since then, he has gone on to play varsity ultimate Frisbee, worked as both a yoga instructor and personal trainer, and developed a passion for other forms of movement such as gymnastics and strength training.
David studied Computer Science at the University of Toronto, where he founded the University-College Yoga Club and worked with the UofT Department of Kinesiology as a Senior Yoga Instructor and Movement Coach.
During his Computer Science internship, David experienced pain and discomfort related to his daily computer work. These issues impacted his training and fitness goals and inspired him to leave his desk job to begin his online brand Deskbound Therapy, which endeavours to help others live and move pain free.
Since 2016, Deskbound Therapy has gathered a large following on YouTube, Instagram, and Apple Podcasts, and has given David the opportunity to help people from all walks of life achieve their health and wellness goals.
The impact he achieved through his online presence prompted David to further his commitment to health and fitness education by pursuing his Bachelor’s of Nutritional Science at the University of Toronto and his Masters of Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University.
David’s goal is now to educate his patience on the importance of integrating movement and exercise into their routines, allowing them to not only meet, but exceed, their health goals while remaining pain-free.
