- Dan Pringle | BMSc, MScPT
Clinic Director, Physiotherapist
Dan’s passion for helping his patients return to their activities is rooted in his lifelong love of athletics. Growing up in Leaside, he competed in a wide variety of competitive sports in the community and for Crescent School, including hockey, soccer, basketball, and tennis. Through sports, Dan developed the ability to get the most out of himself and others, and an appreciation of the value of continued self-improvement. Dan completed a Bachelor of Medical Science with a specialization in Physiology from the University of Western Ontario. His education gives him an exceptional appreciation for the complex underlying mechanisms of the systems of the body, as well as tissue healing and injury.
He completed a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2011. He received awards for his achievements in academics, extra-curricular participation, and research.
Dan continued his involvement in academics and research with journal publications and conference presentations in the field of cancer rehabilitation. In 2014, he became one of the youngest instructors in the history of the influential McMaster Contemporary Acupuncture Program. Since then he has taught courses in the United States and Europe.
Dan’s post-graduate education includes courses in advanced manual therapy, sport taping, myofascial release and contemporary acupuncture. Dan is an accomplished Neurofunctional Sports Performance Specialist. He uses a functional approach to identify and target areas of dysfunction that contribute to current or future symptoms, with an emphasis on lasting results for his patients.
Dan’s unique approach allows him to successfully treat many patients who have had unsuccessful treatment elsewhere. His passion for advancing physiotherapy led him to teach courses internationally, participate in 100’s of continuing education hours each year, and mentor promising future and current therapists.
Dan remains active in the community, providing care to athletes in a sports setting. He works with young athletes, high school teams, and basketball academies, among others. He spreads his passion for high performance sport and protecting young athletes as they embark upon their athletic endeavours.
Dan continues to be very active himself, captaining an Ontario Soccer League team. In addition, he also plays hockey and squash, and enjoys running, and cycling.
